June 7 – Grass-fed & Pastured Meats,(how they’re raised & why they’re much better for you, the earth and the animals themselves.) Presentation, cooking demo and handouts by two local ranchers from San Ysidro Farm and the 47 Ranch. Music by Ghandi Flower.
June 14 -- 6th Annual Plein Air Contest.Paint or draw anything at the farmers market during its summer season when produce abounds. Prizes. Artists can pick up a number for their easels at 7 a.m. and are welcome to display and sell their artwork at no charge. Vote for People’s Choice at the market’s information booth. June 21 – 6th Annual Solar Cook-off & Expo at Bisbee Farmers Market,8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Vista Park, Bisbee, Find out how to cook with the sun. Solar ovens, solar cookbooks and solar cooker kits for sale. Prizes & Potluck for solar chefs at noon. The Solar Store and George Vilec of GeoInnovation will sell and have information on photovoltaics, solar hot water and solar coolers and ovens. Solar contractors and appliance vendors welcome. June 28 – Rain Water Harvesting at Bisbee Farmers Market,8 a.m. to noon, Vista Park, Bisbee. Find out how to harvest rain water off your roof and slow it down so it sinks into your yard. WaterWise info booth, rain barrels for sale by Oasis Water Harvesting and Andrew Nelson. World music with reggae and Cuban/Celtic emphases with keyboard, drums and vocals by the Renegade Posse from Portal.

July 5 – Goat Milking Demonstration. Watch an expert milk a goat and then try your hand. Music by jazz and swing singer Nancy Weaver accompanying herself on rhythm guitar.
July 12 – 2nd Farmers Market Photo Contest. Shoot anything (photogenic vendors, vegetables and visitors) at the market for prizes and fame. Photographers who take part can display and sell their work at no charge. For contest rules and more information contact Yolanda Breakfield at 249-5250 or Sandra Corn at 234-8039. Music (guitar, vocals and mandolin) by market favorite, Vince Robel & Friends.
July 19 – Native Seeds Day at Bisbee Farmers Market with desert ethnobotanist and herbalist Martha "Muffin" Burgess. Muffin will bring a huge selection of dried beans, desert heritage health foods, seeds, chiles, wooden bowls, weavings and baskets produced by native desert peoples and much more from Native Seeds/SEARCH and her own Flor De Mayo herbal products. Mellow Music by Amy Ross & Derek with keyboard, vocals and guitar.
July 26 –Annual Kid’s Day at the Market. Kid’s activities including a Treasure Hunt by Bisbee Kiwannis, water play, healthy snacks, a gardening project, organized fun and games and story hours. Folk and world music on acoustic guitar and harmonium by Mitch and Jenny Druckman.
