October 4 – Gem and Mineral Fair. Bisbee’s many gem and mineral dealers and jewelers will set up around the special events tree. Gem and mineral dealers interested in participating can contact Suzi Pretty of Laura Smith at 227-5060 to reserve a spot at no charge. Ja-wow! to play.

October 11 – 15th Annual Fiber Arts Festival, Bisbee Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. By Bisbee Fiber Arts Guild. Includes demonstrations of weaving, spinning, carding and dyeing, fiber animals, and finished fiber creations. Contact Joan Ruane at jsruane@aol.com for more information or to participate. Wool, thread, fleece and finished products for sale. Try your hand at weaving and spinning. Vince Robel & Friends to entertain.

October 18 – 3rd Annual Mesquite Milling & Mesquite Pancake Breakfast, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bring clean, dry mesquite pods that snap in half for milling by hammermill for small donation. Breakfast includes mesquite pancakes with sugar-free prickly pear syrup or agave nectar & local apple cider. Help us pay for the hammermill and make this a sustainable event by take home some delicious and nutritious mesquite goodies from the Mesquite Bake Sale. October 25 – Holiday Harvest Festival & Market Finale. Get a head start on the holiday season with shopping for unique decorations and gifts. Vendor costume contest with prizes. Children’s Halloween parade around the market. Pinata and other kid’s games. Bring your giant pumpkin to market for the Pumpkin Contest with market “bucks” prizes. Lively traditional fiddle music by Sierra Vista’s family band, The Jones Gang, with Arizona state champion fiddlers.
