Guidelines for Vendors

Cost: Vendor spaces are still only $12 per week. All vendors must also pay a $8 one-time administration fee.

Set-up & check In: Set up time is 7:00 a.m. Vendors are to check in at the Market Information Booth upon arrival. Spaces are assigned by Market Manager and space priority is given to vendors of products for human consumption. Vendors prepaying three (3) months in advance will have their spaces held until 8:00 a.m.

Vehicles & Parking: No vehicles are allowed in the market place after 7:45 am and prior to 12:15 pm (Spring/Summer) except in emergencies (8:45 a.m. and prior to 1:15 pm during Fall/Winter). Vendors who require set up next to their vehicles can request a vendor space adjacent to street parking.

Electricity: Electricity is available at the market at outlets near the bathrooms and the “social” tree.  Vendors who use electricity will be subject to a small additional charge.

Locally grown: Produce must be home-grown within a 100-mile radius.  Contact Market Manager for exceptions.

Crafts: Crafts must be hand-made locally; other items will be deemed “swap meet” items.

Equipment: Vendors are to provide their own tables, chairs, canopies and umbrellas. Bring change and bags for customer’s purchases.

Marketing Tips: Vendors are encouraged to be creative with arranging merchandise; display a sign with name of farm, ranch or business and its location as well as price listings. Recipes and information about products can enhance sales.

Clean-up: Please keep in mind we are guests at the park; Clean up the area of your booth and the surrounding area before leaving.

Other Rules: There is no smoking or consumption of alcoholic beverages allowed in the market place; neither are firearms allowed.  Keep your children under control at all times; the market assumes no responsibility or liability for any actions either caused by or involving your children.  Dogs are to be leashed and under control at all times; vendors are urged to remind customers of this rule and report the offending dog to the market manager.  Any altercation between/among vendors will result in all those involved being expelled from the Market for that day.

Processed Food Vendors

Processed food vendors must use a licensed commercial kitchen (and have copies of relevant permits or letter authorizing use of a rented licensed commercial kitchen), a Food Handler’s Permit and a Category I (for sale of foods that aren’t heated or cooled, for example baked goods without dairy products and honey, pickles), Category II (foods that require being maintained above or below a certain temperatures, frozen meat, baked goods with dairy) or Category III (foods prepared on site) food vendor permit. Contact Cochise County Health Department at 432-9400 about the food handler’s permit and other permits.

Licensed commercial kitchens in Bisbee that may be available for small food processors subject to permission of organization and payment if required, after obtaining a food handler’s permit. Processors using these rented kitchens must obtain a letter of authorization to be submitted to health inspector and may be inspected at the kitchen.

Grower Programs

Backyard Gardeners Program:
Backyard growers with a small amount of produce can arrange with Market Manager to rent part of a Market-provided table for a small fee.

Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition Program:
Local fruit and vegetable growers can become authorized growers in the Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition Program (AZFMNP) which makes them eligible to accept AZFMNP coupons at the farmers market. This program is designed to increase fruit and vegetable consumption for those who participate in the WIC program. Contact the Market Manager for more information.

Organic Garden Tours:
Growers or potential growers are invited to be part of an informal growers group to network and visit with other growers at periodic field trips for growers or Winter and Summer Organic Garden Tours (open to the public) put on by Baja Arizona Sustainable Agriculture.
